October 2023

On October 24 2023, the Chief Justice of Western Australia, the Hon Justice Peter Quinlan, announced the appointment of six Senior Counsel for 2023, following a rigorous selection process that received 27 applications.

 

Sixth Floor Windeyer Chambers is delighted to announce that our very own Tina Jowett SC, who currently practices from Francis Burt Chambers and Sixth Floor Windeyer Chambers, has been appointed Senior Counsel.

 

This recognition is truly well-deserved. Congratulations Tina on this remarkable achievement!

  • Craig Lambert was counsel for the respondent in Liu v Stephen Grubits and Associates (No 2) [2018] FCCA 842. The recent decision of the Full Federal Court of Australia determining that the Federal Circuit Court of Australia does in fact possess jurisdiction to award costs against vexatious litigants or where an unreasonable act or omission has caused the other party to incur costs which had previously been in question.  To read the decision click here.
